Eleanor has been running a fever the last two days so I have stayed home from work to take care of her. So for the last two days I have played the role of "stay at home mom." I usually only get to play this part during the summer months. I am always a little rusty when I begin. When you get a few days of home you are conflicted with what to do with yourself: 1) clean, clean, clean, clean, 2) spend quality time with your child/children or 3) veg out completely and watch endless hours of Lifetime, TNT, Food Network and the Hallmark channel.
Day one I took a combination of choices 1 and 2. Today, I chose 2 and 3. There are times I think to myself, "I could never handle being home everyday with two kids. " And then there are times, like today, when I was rolling on the floor laughing with Eleanor I think, "Life can't get better than this."
